Unless noted in the description of the property, you only have space for one vehicle – most often in the garage. Canyon Services does not have access to any additional spots to offer you. While you may be able to find a first-come, first-served place at Snowbird for your additional vehicle, it is unlikely. We strongly encourage using a shuttle service from the airport rather than renting a car.

Yes! We’re a small team of locals, many of us born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and on the slopes of Little Cottonwood Canyon.
In the winter, Alta is a skier’s paradise. We believe in Eat, Ski, Sleep, Repeat. Guests looking for restaurant dining As such, our nightlife is nearly non-existent. But if you’re looking for something that doesn’t require strapping anything to your feet, we recommend visiting either the Cliff Spa at Snowbird or Stillwell Spa at the Snowpine Lodge.
We are unable to accept any packages for you, but we have partnered with Ski Donkey, who offer a UShipWeTune service. This service allows you to ship your skis up to two weeks before your stay, have them professionally tuned up, then delivered directly to your condo. Full details available here!
Sadly, no. We are unable to store your luggage or vehicle, even in the rental unit’s garage, after check-out or before check-in.
General Grits in Snowbird offers a variety of groceries and sundries, but for the best pricing and selection, we recommend stopping at Smiths in Cottonwood Heights before you come up the canyon. Even more convenient? Set up Grocery Delivery with our concierge and skip the store entirely! Details for all your grocery needs can be found here.
Interlodge is a safety procedure that can be instituted during large storms and for avalanche mitigation. It forces everyone in the area to stay inside buildings while avalanche mitigation work is done by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and resort professionals. Violating an interlodge order is illegal and can result in fines and jail time.
If you’re staying in the Hellgate condos: Park under the “Hellgate Condos” sign and head down the stairs. Just inside the double doors to the right is the office, check in with the staff there, who will get you set up with keys and an assigned parking space.
If you’re staying anywhere else: Access codes and instructions will be in the Guest Portal. Anytime after the 4pm check-in time you can head straight to your condo and let yourself in.
If you are coming in the winter, the short answer is Yes. Per Utah’s administrative rule (R920-6) aka “The Traction Law,” your vehicle must have appropriate traction devices installed. While 2WD vehicles are allowed with 3 Mountain Peak Snowflake tires, almost no rental cars have those. Mud+Snow tires are all that is needed on AWD and 4WD vehicles. If you’re in a personal vehicle, chains are also appropriate, as long as they are properly installed on the tires.
